AI Optimization

Learn how to use AI optimization to optimize your 3D models for better performance and quality.

Overview

AI optimization is a feature that allows you to optimize your 3D models. It is available in the 3DtoMe web viewer and in the 3DtoMe app for Mac.

The AI optimization feature is designed to help you optimize your 3D models for better performance and quality. It uses artificial intelligence to analyze your 3D models and optimize them for the best performance and quality.

You can choose between different optimization levels, depending on your needs. The AI optimization feature is easy to use and provides great results.

AI optimization is available on the Pro, Corporate and Enterprise plans. Each optimization uses 1 credit. You get 3 credits when you sign up, plus 3 for every month of your subscription. Yearly plans get all 36 at each renewal. If you need more, you can buy packs of 10, 50 or 100 credits in the 3DtoMe app for Mac.

How to use AI optimization

AI optimization works on 3D models. It is not available for Gaussian splats. In the web viewer it needs a GLB model.

In the web viewer

  1. Open the project and select the model.
  2. In the right panel, open the Model Info tab and expand AI decimation. The section header shows how many credits you have left.
  3. Set Polygon reduction and Texture size, and pick a Compress level: Default, Hard Surface, Organic or Smooth Surface.
  4. Click Generate, then Yes to spend 1 credit.

The optimized copy appears in the Assets panel, with _decimate added to the model name. Drag it onto the Scene tab to use it. The original model is not changed.

In the 3DtoMe app for Mac

  1. Open the project and select the model.
  2. In the model's inspector, find the AI decimation section.
  3. Set the polygon reduction, texture size and compress level.
  4. Click Generate, then Yes to spend 1 credit.

If you have no credits left, Generate opens the Token Store, where you can buy packs of 10, 50 or 100 credits.
