Password Protected Content

A password protects the project, not a single link. Once you set it, the link, the QR code and the embed all ask for it. Password protection needs the Corporate plan.

In the web viewer

1. Sign in at viewer.3dto.me and open a project you own.
2. Click Share in the top right corner.
3. Choose Embed, QRCode or Direct link.
4. In the Security box, turn on Password protected.
5. Type the password in the "Choose a password" field.
6. Click Set.

The window then says "A password is set." Nobody can read a saved password, including you. To change it, turn Password protected off, which removes the password. Then turn it on again and set a new one.

On a lower plan, the window shows "Password protection requires a Corporate plan". Turning on Password protected opens a form to contact the 3DtoMe sales team.

When someone opens a protected link, scans the QR code or loads the embed, a Password protected window appears before the project loads:

1. Type the password in the "Enter password" field.
2. Click Submit.

If the password is wrong, the window says "Wrong password, make sure you entered all the characters correctly". With the right password, the project loads as usual.

Visitors enter the password again each time they open or reload the page.

If your plan drops below Corporate, visitors see a "not found" page. 3DtoMe never opens the project without the password. Removing a password works on every plan. See Whose plan counts.
