Share with QR code
Learn how to share your 3DtoMe model using a QR code and how to customize the QR code content.
Generate QR codes
A QR code holds the share link of your project. People scan it with their phone camera and the project opens in the phone's browser. You can print it on packaging, flyers or a sign. QR codes need the Pro plan.
In the web viewer
- Sign in at viewer.3dto.me and open a project you own.
- Click Share in the top right corner.
- Choose QRCode.
- Click Download .png for a 512 by 512 pixel image on a white background, or Download .svg for a vector file that stays sharp at any print size.

The QR code has the 3DtoMe logo in the center.
In the 3DtoMe apps
- Open the 3DtoMe app, on the device you want, and select the model you want to share.
- Click the Share icon. On iOS, tap options and then Generate QR code.
- Download the QR code to your device, or share it with the Share button.
Customize QR code content
In the web viewer, the Options box below the QR code sets what the viewer shows when someone scans it:

| Show Comments | No | Every comment marker is visible when the project opens. It applies only when the project has comments. |
| Play Animation | No | Model animations start playing when the project opens. |
| Show Annotation | Yes | Every annotation label is open when the project opens. |
| Show background | Yes | The project's background is visible. It applies only when the project has a background. |
| Show dimension | Yes | The model's dimensions are visible. |
The QR code redraws each time you change an option. A QR code you already printed keeps the options it had, so download a new one after a change.
In the 3DtoMe apps, you customize the QR code content in 3DtoMe for macOS.
Who can open the QR code
The QR code opens your share link, so the same rules apply. See Who can open the link. A printed QR code stops working if you turn off Anyone with the link can view, or if your plan ends or drops below Pro. See Whose plan counts.
