Learn how to draw on your 3D models in 3DtoMe for visionOS or Android XR.
Drawings
Drawings are a great way to add annotations to your 3D content, highlight specific areas of your model and provide additional context to your audience or collaborators.
You can draw also in spatial collaboration sessions, where you can draw in real-time with your collaborators.
Because drawings are meant to be 3 dimensional, you can draw only in 3DtoMe with your hands. You can't draw on the other platforms. The 3DtoMe web viewer shows the drawings you make in visionOS or Android XR, so you can see them on any device with a web browser. In the web viewer you can also show, hide, rename and delete them.
To draw on your models, follow these steps:
- Open 3DtoMe for visionOS or Android XR.
- Select the model you want to draw on.
- Click on the Draw button in the floating menu.
- Draw on the model with the same pinch gesture you use to click on buttons.
If you want, you can change the color, the size and the opacity of your drawing. You can also erase your drawing.
Drawings on the web
The web viewer shows the drawings you make in the 3DtoMe apps. You can review them in any browser and show them to others with the Share feature. You can't create drawings on the web.
Open the right panel with the button at the top right, then click the Spatial Drawings tab. Each row shows the drawing's name, the model it belongs to and the date it was made.

| Pencil icon | Opens Rename spatial drawing. Type a new name and click Save. |
| Bin icon | Opens Delete spatial drawing. Click Delete to remove it. You can't undo this. |
The web viewer saves a rename or a deletion only for the project owner, on a project that is not public. A change that anyone else makes appears only on that person's screen. It disappears when that person leaves or reloads the page.
Visitors who are not signed in can show and hide drawings. The pencil and bin icons appear only when you are signed in.
Good to know
- Renaming or deleting a saved drawing needs a Corporate or Enterprise plan. On a lower plan, saving the new name or confirming the delete opens the upgrade window. See Features by plan.
- During a collaborative call, only the host can rename or delete drawings.
- On a project the 3DtoMe team has locked, a Project locked dialog tells you the web viewer didn't save your change.
