Web Viewer

Open, upload and edit your 3D projects in a browser.

Overview

The 3DtoMe web viewer runs in any modern browser on a computer, a tablet or a phone. You sign in with the same account you use in the 3DtoMe apps and find the same projects.

The web viewer is different from the embed viewer that shows a project on your own website. The embed viewer only displays the model. The web viewer is where you create and manage projects. The Web User Interface page compares the two.

Open the web viewer

  1. Go to viewer.3dto.me.
  2. Log in with your email and password, or with Sign in with Apple. No account yet? Click Sign up and follow the steps in Sign up.
  3. You land on the projects home. Pick a project from My Projects, or click New Project to start one.

Someone sent you a link instead? It opens that one project, and you don't need an account. The address looks like viewer.3dto.me/ followed by a code. If the owner protected it, the viewer asks for a password first.

Web viewer and apps

Your 3DtoMe account stores your projects with their models, annotations, comments and environment. A change you make in the browser shows up in the apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro, and the other way round.

Some things still need an app:

  • Capturing a new model with photogrammetry
  • Creating spatial drawings. The web viewer shows, renames and deletes them.
  • Uploading OBJ files. Convert them to GLB first, or upload them from an app.
  • VR or AR on a headset. The web viewer has no VR mode.

Only the web viewer uploads IFC and GLTF files and shows Gaussian splats.

Plans

Viewing projects is free. Sharing and annotations need Pro. Comments, collaboration and the model gallery need Corporate. Material variants need Enterprise. A button for a feature your plan doesn't include shows a padlock.

The full list is in Features by plan.
