When a project opens, the web viewer shows all its models. Drag to turn around them, pan to slide the view, and zoom to get closer.
This page covers the default camera mode, Orbit. Projects that you stand inside, such as a scanned room, can use Look around mode instead. The project owner picks the mode and can turn rotate, pan and zoom on or off. See Camera controls and default view.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Drag with the left button | Turns the camera around the model |
| Drag with the right button | Pans the view sideways, up or down |
| Scroll the mouse wheel | Zooms in and out |
The wheel zooms toward the center of the screen, not toward the pointer. To zoom in on a detail, pan it to the center first.
| Gesture | What it does |
|---|---|
| Drag with one finger | Turns the camera around the model |
| Pinch with two fingers | Zooms in and out |
| Drag with two fingers | Pans the view |
In a project with several models, double-click a model in the Scene tab of the left panel. The camera flies to that model, frames it, and turns around it from then on.
Click an annotation pin to make the camera turn around that point. Read more in Annotations.
When you are signed in, the Transform toolbar sits on the right edge of the viewer. Once you move the camera away from the view the project opened with, a Reset view button appears below the toolbar. Click it to fly the camera back.
Visitors who are not signed in don't see the toolbar. They can reload the page to get back to the starting view.
The camera stays near your models, so you can't lose them. If a control does nothing, the project owner has turned it off. If the camera stops turning at some angle, the owner has set an angle limit.
