Keyboard Shortcuts
Every key the web viewer responds to, grouped by where you use it.
Overview
The web viewer has few keyboard shortcuts. You do most things with the mouse or a touch screen. See Camera navigation for those controls.
Shortcuts that act on the scene don't fire while you are typing in a text box, so typing a name or a comment never moves the camera.
Camera
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| W | Walks forward |
| S | Walks back |
| A | Steps left |
| D | Steps right |
These keys work only in projects set to Look around mode. Hold a key to keep moving.
The keys follow their position on the keyboard, not the letter printed on them. On an AZERTY keyboard you walk with Z, Q, S and D.
Scene hierarchy
Click a row in the Scene tab of the left panel, then use:

| Up arrow, Down arrow | Moves to the row above or below and selects it |
| Right arrow | Expands the row to show its parts |
| Left arrow | Collapses the row |

Assets panel
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Space | Previews the selected image, video, audio file or PDF. Press it again to close an image or video preview. |
| Esc | Closes the image or video preview |
Click a file to select it first. Images and videos open in a preview window over the viewer. Audio files and PDFs open in a new browser tab.
Chat and comments
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enter | Sends the message |
| Shift+Enter | Starts a new line |
Both work in the Project Assistant chat and in the reply box of a comment thread. See AI features and Comments.
Windows and dialogs
Esc cancels placing an annotation or a comment, and closes the Share window. Most other windows close with Esc once you have clicked inside them.
Enter confirms forms and rename dialogs.
